Fall 2012 New York - February 16th

Bill Blass
Classic as always but with some sheer unexpected details and openings.

Brood
Wonderful prints and an amazing invent way of construction.

Elizabeth and James
Beautiful tailored clothes, simple lines yet super stylish and sophisticated.

Ralph Lauren
If having the Downtown Abbey theme song playing the collection had the reference of the WWI. The first part of the show was dedicated to suits and tailored pieces usually worn by men this time for women, followed by a black&gold section, quite different from the first section, it had as reference the 20s adapt to the 21st century women.

Fall 2012 New York - February 15th

J. Mendel
A lovely collection, extremely feminine making the perfect balance of girly and sophistication.

Lyn Devon
Gorgeous simple, basic designs with a great choice of fabrics. I especially loved the take on the pencil skirt, giving it a fold on the front, very clever!

Michael Kors
Someone loves FUR! There's no doubt that Michael Kors designs for all the women around the world, he's able to make it commercial to every person either from the high society or just a regular common person. This collection was no different, a lot of great pieces, easy to wear and super sleek.

Reed Krakoff
I first started loving the accessories, especially handbags and I appreciate how they translate into the clothing, amazing construction beautifully cuts.

Victoria, Victoria Beckham
I've seen better from her, but I loved the baby dolls, especially the last one.

Vivienne Tam
Vivienne Tam was a surprise to me, the show was not of my taste until we hit the middle and these great layering looks started coming out, I love the mix of materials, patterns.. excellent man repelling in my option.

Fall 2012 New York - February 14th

Alexandre Herchcovitch
A new designer to my list, I loved the proportions and silhouettes of the clothes and they were done in a beautiful color palette.

J. Crew
I love J. Crew and their transition into RTW. The clothes are extremely wearable and the styling was amazing, mixing a lot of prints, patterns and textures.

Naeem Khan
It's no news when I say Naeem Khan is my favorite gown designer, if I was going to the Oscars next sunday I would totally be wearing one of his designs.... unfortunately I'm not, yet!

RAD by Rad Hourani
It's kind of ironic that RAD offered a rad collection, but it's the truth! Minimalistic, just how I like it and super modern.

Rodarte
Whereas Rodarte showed an extremely romantic collection with a vintage quality to it.

Sachin+Babi
This collection was extremely sexy and I do not mean it in a trashy way, it was very subtle. Designs to a strong, confident woman.

Fall 2012 New York - February 13th

3.1. Phillip Lim
Sophisticated, minimalistic with great details. The perfect mix of black and white.

Alice+Olivia
What I most liked about this collection was the occasion pieces, great options for red carpet and events that you might have. I especially love the 3rd picture, the perfect balance of elegance.

Araks
Araks always has great simple pieces, very uncomplicated, straight lines and beautiful proportions.

Jenny Packham
Great choices for evening wear.

Preen
A like the quirky style of Preen, again the pieces are very simple, but the prints and the color brought the pieces to life.

Reem Acra
I saw Audrey Hepburn all over this collection..

Theysken's Theory
Awh one of my most anticipated shows... I loved it, as usual. It's super cool, rock'n'roll, easy to wear and  I'm sold!

Zero+Maria Cornejo
Great mix of fabrics and gorgeous silhouettes and color palette.

Fall 2012 New York - February 12th

Derek Lam
A very minimalistic collection from Derek Lam, using lots and lots of leather, whether as a top, pants or skirts, but done in a lovely way not appearing though at all. It was either leather or something fluid with a chunky knit.

Diane von Furstenberg
DVF showed why she has been in the fashion industry for a long time and that she has much more to give. I love the color palette, the mix of red with neutrals either browns or pinkish tones was beautifully achieved and then some beautiful dark looks, done in such an elegant way.

DKNY
Well, first of all I love the setting of the runway, the same as it was for the SS11 season. Second, DKNY always offers great simple, easy to wear clothing, this time a lot of leather and a lot of dark colors, especially black.

Kevork Kiledjian
A body conscious collection designed to a powerful woman having as a starting point a photograph of Charlotte Rampling.

Tommy Hilfiger
Mr. Hilfiger had quite some evident influences on his collection: military and equestrian. The result great tailored pieces, classic and timeless.

Tracy Reese
"She knows where she's going this season," is what Tracy said of her customer for this season. A very colorful collection though my favorite looks were the more quiet ones.

Victoria Beckham
Yet another body conscious collection, the designer is known for her petite frame and designs to skinny woman leaving the corsets out this time she opted she used construction techniques that suck it all in, having the same end result of the corset. The collection took a more sporty direction than usual and there was also the military trend going on.

Zac Posen
It's his 10th year anniversary and the designer has found his strength on occasion dressing this time with a japanese theme.

Alexander Wang
Wang brought all the big names in the modeling industry not just the present ones but also the old time favs. I have to be honest it was not my favorite collection from him but I loved the accessories and the outerwear.

Altuzarra
An ambitious collection inspired by Corto Maltese from a french comic from the 60s, 70s, a sailor whose parents were gipsies and venetian. Thus the clear military influence, also there were elements from Morocco and India, trips that he, as a sailor had done.

Band of Outsiders
"The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" a western inspired collection with nothing bad nor ugly.

Christian Siriano
I like it and I like it quite a lot! Beautiful, elegant options more for evening wear but surely with a different styling can translate into daywear. The inspiration behind it was the old movie Vampire Bat hence the dark tones.

Lacoste
Awh this just made me want to go skiing!!!

Mara Hoffman
Hm okay. So I liked sooome pieces, most of them didn't mean much to me, but the ones that I actually liked, I really liked them.

Monique Lhuillier

Elegant, Chic, Hollywood, Glamour...some stunning red carpet options.

Prabal Gurung
Oh Prabal, I can't believe I'm going to say this but I loved the pants and the outerwear way better than the dresses.... but he definitely takes risks so I'll hand it to him.

Rachel Zoe
As the designer would say, "I die!!!!!" "It´s Bananaaaas!" whatever you want to say but I personally think it's wonderful!

Wes Gordon
Quickly becoming a known name in the fashion industry at only 25 years of age, Gordon offered an elegant, romantic collection.

Fall 2012 New York - February 10th

Charlotte Ronson
I loved the knits in this collection, the one thing that freaked me out was the white in a lot of the outfits...

Doo.Ri
Doo.Ri always offers a certain romance in her garments, they're always very feminine. For the next season that femininity came in subtle details, I for once loved the necklines, they totally made the garments come to life.

Helmut Lang
As always a very cool collection, lots of leather and black but also some pops of color, almost as if paint had fell on the garments.

Jason Wu
Talking of dark collection came Mr. Wu designing for a fierce, independent woman.

NAHM
Beautiful easy to wear options! The only thing I would point out is that most outfits could be very well from a spring collection...

Peter Som
Peplums are a huge trend at the moment and it looks like Peter Som is a fan.

St. John
St. John has always great options for a classic, more conservative kind of look and to finalize the hair and makeup to match, divine!
